”A person can’t be a winner if they haven’t think as a winner”. The quotation accompany Alif Akbar Putra Baraja in winning international medals. For the fourth times, he reach medals in the highest level.  

Likely, Alif can collect two medals in every year. In 2008, he win silver medal in Singapore International Mathematic Contest. In the same year, he got bronze medal in Thailand International Mathematic Contest. In the next 2009, he win the Singapore International Mathematic Contest dan got bronze medal.

A month ago, precisely in 27 – 30 October 2009, Silver medal has been presented by Alif. Once again, he win WISMIC event in Lucknow, India. The competition was represented by nine countries. They are Bangladesh, Bulgaria, India, Thailand, Srilanka and Philipines. There are 217 student in the competition. In this International event, Indonesia win 10 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.

Low profile is the picture of Alif. No wonder if he can present his best achievement for Country, parents and also his school. Nevertheless, he still want to do some best effort. ”My target is presenting gold medal in 2010 IMC and pass the OSN (National Sains Olympiad),” said Alif in optimist.

In reaching his target, he is involved in many preparation. In example, in every Saturday, he is involved in coaching of mathematic olympiad team in Al Hikmah Junior High School, intensive learning, and supported by reguler mathematic learning. In the international level, Alif has special trainer, master of Indonesian mathematic olympiad, he is Raden Ridwan Hasan Saputra, M.Si.

Alif also has messages for his friends who wants to be like him. ”Never give up! Keep your spirit and pray a lot.” Congratulation Alif, Good luck...Allahu Akbar!!!
